what is it and who is it for?
Website as a Service (WaaS) is my all-inclusive plan that is especially beneficial to small and medium-sized businesses who want a solid foundation for their marketing efforts that is always up-to-date, secure, fast, optimized for local SEO, and 100% managed for a small monthly fee.
WaaS builds in the cost of all of this, plus the initial design and development of the site (and much more). It’s all-inclusive, so there’s no nickel-and-diming. It allows for a quick return on investment (ROI), unlike traditional website payment plans.
A website built “as a service” is the same as one built the “traditional way.” The difference is in the length of the payment structure (and it includes payment for ongoing maintenance).
why is it so affordable ?
My WaaS offering is a one-stop solution for all of your website needs. I combine web hosting, domain management, website maintenance, security, updates, licensing, and billing into a single, efficient, streamlined service.
Plus, I am willing to take on the extra risk of having long-term payment plans in exchange for recurring revenue, which is rare for a web design business.
To use an analogy, compare this to leasing a car. You would pay a monthly fee in exchange for a brand-new model of vehicle that includes all the bells & whistles with covered maintenance and a warranty. But in our case, you will own your website at the end of the two-year term without having to pay anything else (though if you renew your contract, you will get a free re-design, similar to an upgraded car if you renewed your auto lease).
how does it work ?
It is very simple, by design. First, you will choose a plan from the form below that fits your budget.
I’ll then follow up with you to schedule a meeting to discuss your needs, goals, and expectations from your website. From there I will create a scope-of-work plan curated just for you and your business.
Next, I will give you instructions on how to send me your content while I do discovery research about your business and industry.
I will then create your website according to the scope-of-work plan and utilize the information in the discovery phase to put you ahead of your competition.
Once the website is finalized and tested, I will launch your website with the necessary local SEO to get your website on the best path to a higher rank over time.
I will take care of the rest. If you want me to add or remove any content, images, forms, or whatever, tell me and I’ll take care of it within 48 hours.
You will receive a recurring charge every month for two-years. At the end of the term, the website is yours. You can take it to another company if you wish or if you are happy with my services, sign on for another two-year contract and I’ll redesign or refresh your website for free.
the benefits of WaaS
Low Upfront Cost
The biggest and most noticeable benefit to you will be the small upfront cost.
Instead of paying $5K or $15K or more for a website, you’ll pay a much lower monthly fee with this service. For the ongoing fee, you get constant support, updates, a warranty, and more.
This means you can allocate more money to other areas of your business such as marketing or other expenses.
An Evolving Website
A website is never really finished—it continually evolves as your company grows, and there should be no exception. Rewording your content, adjusting how a form works, adding new images, improving the usability of navigation… these things should be done as they are needed, not skipped over because it will mean another invoice from my developer.
Consolidated Costs
Website costs are never really “one-time.” There are always recurring costs, regardless of the size or type of website. Here are some common recurring costs and add-ons:
- Hosting renewals
- Hosting security & maintenance
- Automated backups
- Backup storage
- Onsite maintenance (security updates, troubleshooting & repair, zero-day patches, bug fixes, database optimization)
- Domain name registration & renewal
- Content and design changes or updates
- SSL (website security certificates)
- Licenses for most website features
- On-demand technical support
WaaS builds in the cost of all of this, plus the discovery phase regarding your competition, UX design, and development of the site (and much more). It is all-inclusive, so there are no surprise expenses.
In short, I’ll design and build you a website and take care of everything, all for a low monthly cost. If cash flow and predictability of expenses are essential to you, then WaaS is for you.

frequently asked questions
This seems too good to be true… What’s the catch?
There is no catch!
By combining all my services into one package and using my highly specialized tools, I've streamlined the website creation process.
Plus, I am willing to take on the risk of having long-term payment plans for recurring revenue, which is rare for a web design company.
How long is my subscription?
Subscriptions require a 24-month commitment. After your contract term is up, the website is yours to transfer away if you like. But if you're happy and wish to retain my services, your contract can be renewed for a brand-new website design, or you can go month-to-month but it will require you to be on my All-In-One plan (hosting & maintenance).
What happens if I cancel my subscription?
If you cancel prior to the two-year term expiration, then just like your cell phone plan, you’ll need to buy out the contract. You’ll be provided with an archive of your website so that you can install it with a different hosting company, and you’ll be responsible for the cost of all ongoing licensing for the premium plug-ins used if you want to keep their functionality.
Is there a minimum term requirement?
A two-year minimum commitment is required. After that, you'll have the option to sign another two-year contract and get a new website design/refresh, downgrade to my All-in-One plan (hosting & maintenance), or take your website to another hosting company.
How do you handle payments?
All work requires a debit or credit card on file that will be automatically charged. You can pay using Zelle (preferred), ACH, Venmo*, PayPal*, or Credit Card*.
*extra fees may apply
Are there any setup fees or upfront costs?
No extra fees, just pay the first month’s payment. The cost of everything is included in the monthly rate. For example, if you want to have a 10-page website designed, built, and managed, your monthly payment is $250 for two years, and you’ll pay that over time instead of all up front.
Will there be other fees?
There are no other fees unless you want to add any features that aren’t included in the original plans. The WaaS plan includes everything to design, build, launch, and maintain a modern, fast, SEO-friendly, future-proof website. You’ll only pay your quoted monthly rate, which varies only by the number of pages that make up the site.
What is not included?
Custom development, custom integration with external systems, or functionality that requires a plug-in that is over $30/month. I’ll always try to find the most cost-effective solution.
I have a list of optional add-ons (above) that will show you more specific examples of what is not included in the base price.
How is this different than Wix or Squarespace?
With proprietary DIY platforms, you’re expected to become a web designer and developer — not only building your website but keeping it up-to-date. Plus, you are only renting your site with them.
My WaaS plans are built with WordPress and can be easily transferred to another hosting company. There is no lockdown. Also, you'll own the site after the 24-month contract is up, so you'll be able to decide then whether you want to renew your contract and refresh/redesign your site, not renew/refresh but stay on my monthly hosting and maintenance plan, or take your website to another hosting company.
Who creates my website content?
This is a big point of differentiation between WaaS and sites built by other companies. You don’t just need a beautiful website, you need a professionally-branded site that connects with your target audience and converts visitors into prospects and leads into sales.
Typically, creating the website content is a collaborative effort, as you know your story better than anyone, and you likely have copy that’s been created in the past that makes a good starting point. I'll help simplify your message while keeping it focused on selling your products or services and making it SEO-friendly.
What if I’d rather pay for a website upfront (in the traditional way), and then add on other services separately as needed?
No problem at all. Please contact me for a quote and we can go from there.
let's move forward
The WaaS plans carry a lot of risk so the screening process is a little more strict than my traditional plans and openings are limited during this period. Please fill out the last field as honestly as you can.
